He has brown hair and under the ruby-quartz visor he's typically wearing he has brown eyes. He's usually clad in a dark blue outfit trimmed in yellow that covers his entire body except for the area around his mouth and nose. When not on a mission he wears a blue and yellow leather jacket with X's on the shoulders. Personality: Scott Summers is a born leader. Everything that he does, thinks, and says is calculated and is what he perceives as the best way to solve whatever situation he's in. He is always thinking about those around him and would not hesitate to sacrifice himself if it would save the lives of others. Scott is normally very serious. He has a good sense of humor, but he's usually way too focused on business to let it show. He is kind and compassionate though, and during his many years as an X-man has become a brilliant strategist. As of late Cyclops seems to have changed his ways of thinking slightly - now willing to go as far as it takes to protect those around him, including permanently eliminating threats to his school. This change may of been brought on by his current love interest, Emma Frost, or maybe he has adopted his, "bad boy," image to impress her. Mutant Power/Super Power: Cyclops possesses the mutant ability to project a beam of heatless ruby-colored concussive force from his eyes, which act as inter-dimensional apertures between this universe and another. Cyclops' body constantly absorbs ambient energy, such as sunlight, from his environment into his body's cells that allows him to open the apertures. Cyclops' mind generates a psionic field that is attuned to the forces that maintain the apertures. Because this field envelops his body, it automatically shunts the other-dimensional particles back into their point of origin when they collide with his body. Thus, his body is protected from the effects of the particles, and even the thin membranes of his eyelids are sufficient to block the emission of energy. The synthetic ruby quartz crystal used to fashion the lenses of Cyclops' eyewear is resonant to his minds' psionic field and is similarly protected. The width of Cyclops' optic blast is focused by his mind's psionic field with the same autonomic function that regulated his original eyes' ability to focus. As Cyclops focuses, the size of the apertures change and thus act as a valve to control the flow of particles and the beam's relative power. The height of Cyclops's eye-blast is controlled by his visor's adjustable slit. The beam's effective range is approximately 2,000 feet. Control of Power: Due to a head injury, Cyclops is unable to shut off his optic blasts at will and must therefore wear ruby quartz lenses to block the beams. Without some sort of glasses, he must keep his eyes closed to stop the beams. Special Skills/Abilities: Can pilot some types of aircraft, outstanding leadership abilities, and a teacher/headmaster at the Xavier Institute. Recent History: In the aftermath of the Messiah Complex and due to Xavier's death, Cyclops became the new leader of the X-men. His first act was to disband the group, though it was actually only a ruse to trick the rest of the world. Cyclops secretly created a few separate X-teams. The first, and most top secret, is a personal black ops strike team that he christened X-Force. He put Wolverine in charge of the small group of trackers and charged them to kill the Mutant's biggest threats. The group is only known about by it's four members and Cyclops, who didn't even share it's existence with Emma. The next group Cyclops plans to have serve as the new incarnation of your typical X-team. It's composed of the core members of the group that still remain dedicated to his cause. The final new team that Cyclops is putting together is a group of the new students, so he named it the Young X-men. He hasn't yet finalized their roster or activated the team though. After finalizing the above plans, Scott sent the X-men off to vacation for a while before reconvening. Him and Emma took a trip to the Savage Land, where there was much fornicating. While there he was visited by Iron Man, who petitioned Scott and the X-men to register themselves as Super Heroes. Scott informed him though that the group had been disbanded and that they were done playing hero. Upon returning to New York, Scott's first act of business was to find the group a new headquarters. A rouge Setinal attack left the X-mansion in ruins, and if the group wanted to appear disbanded then they wouldn't be able to convene there anyway. As a temporary fix to the situation Emma is allowing the X-men to stay at the former Hellfire Club Headquarters in New York until they can think of a better plan.
